Export Overview
From January to July 2024, China's canned orange exports totaled 151,500 tons, with a total value of US$180 million and an average unit price of US$1,190 per ton. Compared with the same period last year, the volume increased by 7%, the value decreased by 9%, and the average price decreased by 15%.
Among them, in July 2024, China's canned orange exports totaled 21,700 tons, with a value of US$25.36 million and an average price of US$1,170 per ton. Compared with the same period last year, the volume increased by 23%, the value increased by 5%, and the average price decreased by 14%.
Exporting Countries
From January to July 2024, among the 55 countries and regions to which China exported canned oranges, the top eight countries in terms of export value are: the United States, Japan, Indonesia, Canada, Germany, Thailand, the United Kingdom and Iran.
Among them, China exported 71,200 tons of canned oranges to the United States, accounting for 47% of China's total canned orange exports, with a value of US$89.48 million and an average price of US$1,257/ton, a year-on-year decrease of 2% in quantity, 17% in value, and 16% in average price;
34,500 tons were exported to Japan, accounting for 23% of China's total canned orange exports, with a value of US$41.2 million and an average price of US$1,196/ton, a year-on-year increase of 4%, a decrease of 10% in value, and a decrease of 14% in average price;
15,100 tons were exported to Indonesia, accounting for China's canned oranges 10% of the total export volume of canned oranges, with a value of 13.99 million US dollars and an average price of 925 US dollars/ton, a year-on-year increase of 194% in quantity, 154% in value, and a decrease of 14% in average price;
5,506 tons were exported to Canada, accounting for 4% of China's total canned orange exports, with a value of 7.61 million US dollars and an average price of 1,383 US dollars/ton, an increase of 8% in quantity, a decrease of 4% in value, and a decrease of 11% in average price.
Exporting provinces and cities
From January to July 2024, among the 20 provinces and cities that exported canned oranges in China, the top six provinces and cities in terms of export value were: Zhejiang, Hubei, Shandong, Anhui, Hunan and Jiangsu.
Among them, Zhejiang Province exported 94,700 tons, accounting for 62% of China's total canned orange exports, with a value of US$116 million and an average price of US$1,225/ton, a year-on-year increase of 5% in quantity, a decrease of 10% in value, and a decrease of 15% in average price;
Hubei Province exported 25,600 tons, accounting for 17% of China's total canned orange exports, with a value of US$24.92 million and an average price of US$973/ton, a year-on-year increase of 15%, a decrease of 2% in value, and a decrease of 15% in average price;
Shandong Province exported 12,800 tons, accounting for 8% of China's total canned orange exports, with a value of US$15.37 million and an average price of US$1,202/ton, a year-on-year increase of 63%, a year-on-year increase of 39%, and a decrease of 15% in average price.
