과테말라 신선 아보카도 수입 시장 (6월, 2022)

The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI) has welcomed a delegation from Guatemala's National Organization for Phytosanitary Protection (NPPO), along with the US Department of Agriculture (FAS, APHIS) and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), to learn about Peru's avocado export processes. This visit aims to help Guatemala align its practices with Peru's, a leading avocado exporter and the second largest globally. In 2021, Peru exported over 500,000 tons of Hass avocado to countries like the US, Chile, China, and the EU. The delegation will visit Peruvian avocado production sites and facilities, focusing on the Production Center of the sterile fruit fly insect and the SENASA Plant Health Diagnostic Unit, to enhance Guatemala's access to the US market.
