France expects a slight increase in production, despite a reduction in the acreage of large varieties like Abate and Conference. Spain's production is expected to decrease due to a severe and prolonged period of frost in April, although the fruits are catching up due to high temperatures. Portugal's pickers are experiencing less work due to pear damage from a dry winter, heavy rain, and hail.
