The Ulyanovsk region in Russia is working to expand its agricultural product supply and change the structure of its exports towards highly processed products. A significant increase in wheat flour exports to Afghanistan has been noted, with the Ulyanovsk flour mill having shipped 466 tons in May 2022, which has increased to 1,465 tons in the first half of 2022. The Rosselkhoznadzor department has overseen the export of 50,139 tons of grain and its processed products to Belarus, Latvia, Israel, and Belgium since the start of 2022. The region has also achieved its sowing target, covering 763,000 hectares, a 10% increase compared to the previous year.
