Export market for Barley Malt in Belgium (12월, 2022)

In 2022, Finland cultivated approximately 429,000 hectares of Barley, with about 66,500 hectares used for malting. The country also grew other cereal crops, covering half of its field area, and produced enough grain to meet the domestic consumption of 5.5 million people. Finland is the world's second-largest exporter of Oats, with annual exports of about 400,000 tons, primarily to Germany, the Netherlands, and South Africa. Despite its self-sufficiency in cereal crops, Finland imports grains, mainly Barley and Oats, from neighboring countries.
