Export market for Black Pepper in Vietnam (11월, 2022)

Coffee and pepper prices in Vietnam are fluctuating between 40,100 - 40,700 VND/kg and 60,000 - 63,000 VND/kg respectively. This is despite the strength of the US dollar and China's Zero-Covid policy. The rise in coffee prices is due to forecasts of reduced supply in the new crop year, and the increase in pepper prices is driven by increased import demand from China. Domestic pepper prices also rose due to the decrease in Kampot pepper exports from Cambodia and the expectation that China and traditional markets will increase their purchasing again for consumption demand in winter and new year 2023.
