Export market for Fresh Apple in Azerbaijan (12월, 2022)

In 2022, Uzbekistan experienced a significant increase in fruit and nut imports, with a record $90 million in the first 10 months, which is a 2.1 times increase from 2021 and nearly three times higher than 2020. This surge is attributed to the country's trade liberalization, high prices for apples, population growth, and economic development. Despite these imports, Uzbekistan remained a net exporter of fruits, with exports being 5.6 times greater than imports. The most imported fruits were bananas, followed by apples, mandarins, oranges, pears, kiwi, lemons, and pineapples, with the majority of these fruits coming from countries like Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, China, Egypt, Poland, and Azerbaijan.
