Export market for Fresh Durian in Vietnam (12월, 2022)

Vietnamese agricultural businesses are preparing for exports of durian and other fruits to China in January 2023, following the granting of planting area codes and protected geographical indications. Tam Nguyen Food Company is planning to export frozen fruit to Japanese and Korean communities, and is in need of capital for expansion. Meanwhile, a business called Ms. Thy is exporting dried fruits to overseas Vietnamese in Japan, Korea, Russia, and Poland, but is concerned about the short shelf life of its products. The business plans to expand production and improve packaging to reach more markets like the US and EU, with the goal of affirming the Vietnamese brand and creating local jobs.
