Export market for Fresh Mango in Colombia (11월, 2022)

The mango season in Málaga ended with prices being lower than the previous year due to a large supply of small-sized mangoes. This was caused by heat waves and a lack of rainfall, leading to difficulties in irrigation. Despite consumers liking the small sizes, prices never reached last year's average. The Spanish Tropical Fruit Association introduced the Mango de Málaga label to highlight the quality of Spanish mangoes. The avocado season is expected to see a 25 to 30% decrease in production compared to last year, mainly due to the harvest of green-skinned varieties like Bacon and Fuerte. The Axarquía region, a key avocado-growing area in Spain, has seen the largest drop in yields.
