Export market for Fresh Turkey Cuts in Mexico (11월, 2022)

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has reassured the public that the supply and prices of food will not be significantly affected by the avian flu outbreak in the country, despite the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of birds. He highlighted that the outbreak has only affected 0.04% of the national poultry inventory and stated that Mexico has a plan in place to import poultry from any country to make up for any shortages. The president also mentioned measures to combat food inflation, such as the free delivery of fertilizers to 2 million producers and the removal of tariffs to facilitate the importation of basic products.
