Export market for Other Frozen Pork Cuts in Paraguay (11월, 2022)

Paraguay's Association of Pig Breeders is optimistic about the potential of pork exports to Taiwan, seeing it as a way to offset losses incurred in both the domestic and international markets. The initial shipments are expected to begin in early 2023, with the annual export capacity estimated between 6,000 and 10,000 tons. However, the export of some pork cuts is currently limited by a 11% tariff imposed by Taiwan. Despite this, the union is positive about the opportunity to negotiate marketing values with Taiwanese importers.
