Spanish agri-food chain organizations have urged the government to include meat, meat derivatives, yogurt, and honey in the list of foods with reduced VAT, as part of the government's initiative to support families affected by the economic consequences of the Ukraine war and the reconstruction of La Palma. They argue that these foods are essential for a healthy and balanced diet and should be included in the basic basket of foods to be made more affordable for vulnerable families.
