Import market for Fresh Blueberry in Malaysia (6월, 2022)

The Mexican berry sector is projected to see a 12% increase in exports for the 2022 season, reaching 584,000 tonnes, up from 462,000 tonnes in 2021. The majority of these exports, 95%, will be to the U.S., with the rest being distributed among 37 countries. As of June 16, Mexico had already exported 386,894 tons of berries for the season. The Mexican National Berry Export Association (Aneberries) is actively seeking government support to expand into new markets such as India, Malaysia, and South Korea. The berry industry in Mexico employs 120,000 people directly and 438,000 indirectly, with a planted area of 14,000 hectares.
