Import market for Fresh Grape in Mexico (6월, 2022)

Peru is set to increase its table grape exports to 70 million boxes in the 2022/2023 campaign, up from 64.8 million boxes in the previous year, due to higher production yields. This increase is attributed to the cultivation of young trees and varietal replacement. The export campaign has been extended due to the production of early and late grape varieties, covering more weeks in the calendar. There is potential for higher yields, and there is interest to open the Japanese market for Peruvian table grapes, with a phytosanitary protocol almost in place and a visit from the Ministry of Agriculture of Japan expected in August to confirm.
