Import market for Frozen Trout in Netherlands (6월, 2022)

In May, Norway saw a historic high in seafood exports, with a value of NOK 12.4 billion, a 49% increase from the previous year, making it the second highest monthly export value on record. This growth is primarily due to increased export prices for salmon, as well as other species such as trout, cod, saithe, haddock and herring. The United Kingdom, Germany, and Portugal experienced the largest increase in export volumes. However, the war in Ukraine and rising production costs are posing challenges for the industry. The Norwegian Seafood Council remains optimistic, citing significant growth in Asia, especially in Japan, China, and South Korea, and a resurgence in herring consumption in Germany.
