Grain prices were mixed overnight but broke back into the red by the close, with wheat experiencing substantial losses due to harvest pressure and spillover weakness from crude oil prices. Corn and soybeans tested moderate gains but closed with modest losses. The U.S. Dollar firmed significantly, and energy futures suffered a major setback. Commodity funds were net buyers of corn, soybeans, soymeal, and CBOT wheat contracts. Grain markets will be closed on Monday for the Juneteenth federal holiday. Concerns over hot, dry weather in the Midwest, along with concerns over abundant hot, dry weather in France and Argentina, are keeping losses mostly in check.
