Import market for Wheat in Afghanistan (6월, 2022)

Since the halt on wheat exports on May 13, India has successfully exported 1.8 million tonnes of wheat to a total of 13 countries, including Bangladesh and Afghanistan. This export figure is nearly four times the amount from the previous year and includes 33,000 tonnes of wheat provided as humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. This action was taken by India to ensure both domestic availability and to meet the needs of countries that cannot source supplies through the market. Despite the export ban, India has maintained its commitment to neighboring countries and food-deficit nations.
