Imports of fresh dairy products to Ukraine are growing. In January, they were imported by 55% more than in the same period last year. This is reported by Infagro. Analysts drew attention to the fact that previously Ukraine imported mainly yogurts and various cheese products, but in January several hundred tons of cheap Polish milk were imported. Currently, Polish imports of fresh dairy products account for 60% of the total volume. Meanwhile, prices for dairy products on the domestic market have begun to stabilize, but, unfortunately, by this time they have already reached a very high level. “To stimulate sales, it would be right to reduce prices in general, especially for sour cream and fermented milk cheese. In any case, there should definitely be no further price increases,” the analysts emphasized.
