The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China has increased by 33% in the first 10 months of 2022, reaching $19.7 billion, as reported by Kazakhstan's Prime Minister, Alikhmn Smailov. This follows a 14% increase in trade volume in 2021, which stood at $18 billion. The countries are aiming to further increase this figure to $35 billion by 2030. The agricultural sector has experienced significant growth, with trade turnover increasing by 46.7% to $412.5 million in the first 7 months of 2022. Kazakhstan also plans to begin exporting oilseed meal and cake to China by the end of 2022, following an agreement protocol. Additionally, the country has seen a 91% increase in sunflower oil exports this year.
