US beef exports have seen consistent growth, with April marking the third month in a row of over $1 billion in revenue. The total beef exports in April were 124,408 tons, a 3% increase from the previous year, generating $1.05 billion, the second highest figure on record. This growth is largely due to record shipments to Taiwan and the Philippines, as well as higher sales to Japan, China/Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. However, analysts warn that global demand for US beef may fall in the second half of the year due to inflation and the strength of the US dollar. Additionally, a report from Rabobank suggests that a drop in production in 2022 could lead to a 4% decline in US exports by the end of the year.
