Despite a slight increase in global exports, South American coffee exports, particularly from Brazil and Colombia, have declined due to logistical challenges and adverse weather conditions. In contrast, Asian and Oceesian exports, led by Vietnam, have surged. The ICO forecasts a global coffee market deficit for the 2021-2022 crop year, with supplies expected to be down by over 2.1%, while consumption is projected to increase by 3.3%.
