The USDA has revised its forecast for global oilseed production in 2022/23, reducing it by 0.3 million tons to 646.8 million tons, primarily due to a decrease in sunflower production. However, rapeseed and soybean production estimates have been increased, and global ending stocks of oilseeds are projected to rise. The soybean production forecast for Brazil, Argentina, and the US has been increased, leading to an increase in initial stocks in Brazil and Argentina. The global rapeseed production forecast has also been increased, while the sunflower production forecast for Ukraine is expected to decrease.
