Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed concern over the destabilization of global agricultural production caused by Western restrictions during a press conference with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Moscow. He underslined the need to restore disrupted supply chains and highlighted the positive bilateral trade relations and the potential for a free trade zone between Indonesia and the Eurasian Economic Union. Putin also addressed the imbalance in food markets and the challenges in exporting Russian grain and fertilizers due to Western restrictions. Indonesian President Widodo emphasized the importance of peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict and the necessity for reviving multilateralism to address the food crisis and promote peace and cooperation.
