Chongqing Technology Escorting the industry to promote development
In the National Key Laboratory of Coffee Testing at the Simao Customs Comprehensive Technical Service Center, engineer Lu Ying is spreading coffee bean samples on a black flat plate to test their appearance, smell, impurities and defects.
"In order to ensure that the exported coffee meets the quality, safety and hygiene requirements of the destination countries and regions, we conduct on-site inspections and sampling inspections on the exported coffee, and the samples will be sent to the laboratory for testing." Lu Ying introduced, "Based on the results of on-site inspection supervision, sensory inspections, and laboratory physical and chemical and sanitary inspections, the quality of the batch of exported coffee is comprehensively judged to be qualified."
"We are in the coffee planting area of the nine counties and one district of Pu'er City Based on the survey of scale and output, ecological environment, pest control and pesticide use, representative bases are determined for sampling and testing of coffee and soil. Through the evaluation of test data, farmers are guided to effectively adjust the fertilization plan in the planting stage to adapt to the healthy growth of coffee trees. "Said Zhou Jian, a senior agronomist in the laboratory.
According to statistics, in the first three quarters, the laboratory completed 1,038 batches of coffee bean commissioned testing, an increase of 30% year-on-year.
"In the past, we could only send samples to Zhejiang, Shanghai and other places for testing, which took a long time and was costly. Now we can test locally, saving time and money." Cha Benhong, business manager of Pu'er Jinlu Coffee Co., Ltd., said.
