The cost of non-alcoholic beverages in Kazakhstan will rise in 2024: The price of mineral water will increase by 15% per year

In terms of domestic supply and demand balance, the self-sufficiency rate of Kazakhstan's enterprises for mineral water and non-alcoholic beverages reached 87.7% from January to July this year, higher than 86.9% in the same period last year. Imports accounted for the total supply In addition, exports also showed steady growth, with exports reaching 253.8 million liters in seven months, up 7.8% year-on-year.
Despite stable production and supply, prices continue to rise. The average annual increase in non-alcoholic beverages and juices reached 11.7%. From a regional perspective, North Kazakhstan had the highest increase, reaching 17.4%; in addition, Karaganda, West Kazakhstan, Mangistau and Almaty had price increases of 16.8%, 15.3%, 13.7% and 13.5% respectively. The price increase in Ultau was relatively small, only 5.7%.
Broken down into specific categories, the price of mineral water rose by 14.7% in a year, and that of drinking water rose by 13.6%.
