Export market for Fresh Watermelon in Uzbekistan (11월, 2022)

In August 2022, Georgia's agricultural trade saw mixed results with fluctuations in the import and export of various fruits and nuts. While the country experienced a decrease in orange imports and a record grape import, it witnessed a decline in the export of hazelnuts and figs, with the blueberry export season coming to an end. On the other hand, there was a significant growth in watermelon trade, largely attributed to increased demand in Ukraine, despite the ongoing Russian occupation of key regions. Although watermelon imports from Turkey remained high, the dependence on Azerbaijan increased slightly. Meanwhile, fig exports, though voluminous, hit a three-year low due to reduced demand, with Russia and Armenia being the primary importers. Furthermore, Georgia's fruit import dynamics saw a notable decrease in orange imports and a doubling of grape imports, mainly from Turkey.
