Russian Agricultural Export Center: Russian Sparkling Wine Exports to China to Reach Historic High in 2025
According to the Russian Agricultural Product Export Development Center data, from January to April 2025, Russia exported 262,000 liters of sparkling wine to China, valued at $727,000. The total export volume for 2024 is expected to be around 15,000 liters, while in 2023, no such goods were exported to China.
The report indicates that in the first four months of 2025, Russia ranked fourth among countries exporting sparkling wine to China. Spain ranked third (310,000 liters), France second (367,000 liters), and Italy first (819,000 liters).
On March 18, the Russian Agricultural Product Export Center told Sputnik News Agency that, according to preliminary estimates, Russia's agricultural product exports to China in 2024 exceeded 8.3 million tons, with a total export value of approximately $7.4 billion. Among the agricultural products exported to China, rapeseed oil ranked first (13%), followed by barley (10%), sunflower oil and peas (8% each), and soybeans (7%). China has become the main importer of Russian agricultural products in 2024 and has maintained this position for two consecutive years.
