In 2024, Ukraine exported a record 0.33 million tons of soybean oil to the EU, marking a 37% increase compared to the previous year. This growth occurred against the backdrop of a general decline in the EU’s imports of four major vegetable oils, which fell to a 12-year low of 1.38 million tons (-14% year-on-year)

Minister of Agricultural Policy Vitaliy Koval assesses the prospects for soybean cultivation as very good. Even if in 2025 Ukrainian farmers sow and harvest less soybeans than in the record 2024, in the future 5-10 years the area under soybeans in Ukraine will increase.

As of February 10, Ukraine exported 78 thsd tons of soybeans, and the market remains stable. At the same time, the soybean stocks as of February 1 are estimated at 3.4 mln tonnes, which is significantly higher than the previous season (2.6-2.7 mln tonnes). This creates the need to intensify sales in February-April, as in
