Between January and May 2022, Chile saw a significant increase in fresh fruit exports, with a total of 1.608 million tons bringing in USD 3,657 million FOB. This represents a 10% rise in volume and a 9.6% increase in value compared to the same period last year. The top three exports were cherries, table grapes, and blueberries, contributing 84.9% to the total export value. Cherries saw a 7.2% increase in volume and a 32.2% increase in value, primarily to China, while table grapes increased by 15.4% in volume, mainly to the US. Blueberry exports, however, experienced a decline of 6% in volume and 14.4% in value, with the US and the Netherlands as the main buyers.
