Engineer Khaled Al-Hanafiyat, Jordanian Minister of Agriculture, expressed his happiness to be in Egypt, his second country, “the mother of the world,” adding that he came to Cairo with a delegation of Jordanian investors to cooperate in order to achieve self-sufficiency in food.
During his tour of the Nubaria Sugar Factory, Al-Hanafiyat pointed out that Arab integration is necessary for the benefit of our peoples, stressing that the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture has proposed areas for cooperation, whether in the production of seeds and seedlings, or in transferring the Egyptian experience in the sugar industry and beet cultivation, noting that the climate is suitable for the private sector in both countries.
Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Engineer Khaled Al-Hanafiyat, Jordanian Minister of Agriculture, and Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of Beheira, inspected the Nubaria Sugar Factory, accompanied by Engineer Suleiman Hassan, Managing Director and Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the factory, in the presence of Engineer Mustafa Al-Sayyad, Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
The tour comes at the beginning of the Jordanian Minister’s visit to Cairo to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries and attend the meetings of the seventh session of the Joint Indirect Agricultural Technical Committee.
