The first shipment of Minqin honeydew melons has been exported to Thailand, with a full-year export plan of 500 tons.
On July 31, the ceremony for the first shipment of containers of Minqin honeydew melons from Minqin County, Gansu Province, was held at the Shoucheng Zhenbao Honeydew Melon Trading Market. This marked the first time that Minqin honeydew melons have been self-exported, officially stepping into the international market.
Minqin County, located in the northeast of the Hexi Corridor, has unique sandy soil, a significant temperature difference between day and night, and ample sunlight, which have nurtured the honeydew melons to have a fine flesh, crisp and sweet juice, rich flavor, and high sugar content.
During the 31st Lanzhou Expo, Gansu Guiyan Youxuan Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., in conjunction with the Zhengda Group, connected with the Asian Fruit Association and Moscow's Foodcity Wholesale Market, and reached export intentions with clients from Thailand, Malaysia, and Russia.
