The Tanzanian government is intensifying measures to attract both domestic and foreign direct investment (FDI) into the sugar industry to address the severe supply shortage.

A Russian supplier said: "Currently, demand in China is slowing down. After the processing plants resume work in March, the price trend is expected to be clearer. The inventory of the sanctioned companies was recently sold to China, and I understand that a considerable amount went to Qingdao, which is $400 per ton cheaper than other sellers. Since the Ukraine crisis in 2022, Chinese factories have been making less money year by year. Most of them are just surviving, and it seems that the international community has not yet seen when this chaos will end."

Spanish beekeepers are celebrating reivindicative tastings this Tuesday in fifteen Spanish cities to ask consumers to bet on local honey, to "avoid mixtures," and, in passing, they have denounced that they are selling at a loss.
