The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation's Pig Breeding Improvement Center (Director Kang Hang-gu) recently conducted an environmental cleanup activity around the Taebong Mountain trail in collaboration with the Daisan-myeon Office, Daisan-myeon Residents' Association, and local residents. This cleanup activity was prepared to improve safety and convenience for local residents using the trail, and involved activities such as mowing grass, collecting trash, checking deteriorated trail markers, and removing fallen rocks along approximately 2km of the mountain path. According to the Jeju branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, the cultivation area and production volume of greenhouse tangerines in Jeju are 468 hectares and 27,036 tons as of 2024, showing a continuous increase since 2015, with cultivation area and production volume increasing by 87.2% and 32.5%, respectively, compared to 2015. Greenhouse tangerines account for 2% of the total citrus cultivation area and 5% of production in the Jeju region, with gross revenue of 112.47 billion won, representing 8% of the total tangerine gross revenue.
