The price of pork ranged from 55 to 65 Egyptian pounds per kilo, with the government encouraging complete projects in desert areas to benefit the poultry sector, which includes breeding, farming, production, and waste recycling. The cost of pork in the Minir al-Sqaa market was 40 Egyptian pounds per kilo for white meat, 57 Egyptian pounds for sausages, and the poultry sector, which employs over 2.5 million, contributes nearly 90 million Egyptian pounds to the Egyptian economy. The average annual domestic production of poultry is approximately 1.4 million chickens. Meanwhile, the price of roma pork ranged from 65 to 75 Egyptian pounds per kilo, with Roma pork imports being necessary due to domestic production limitations. Finally, the price of ketageta pork ranged from 2 to 4 Egyptian pounds per kilo.
