Export market for Sunflower Seed in Kazakhstan (12월, 2022)

From January to October 2022, Kazakhstan saw a significant increase in the export of oilseed flax, with a 75% rise compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching a value of $292.9 million. This makes flax the country's eighth most exported agricultural product in value, following wheat, and accounts for 12.3% of total agricultural exports. The growth in flax exports is attributed to its high profit margin and ease of cultivation, with Kazakhstan now leading in global flax cultivation. In October alone, the country exported 37.6 thousand tons of flax seeds, marking an increase of 8.1 thousand tons from the previous month.
