Pan Guonan, sales director of Blue Ocean JSC, said that after hard negotiations, market opening, and close cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Australian Department of Agriculture, the company has exported more than 1.5 tons of passion fruit to Australia, marking Blue Ocean JSC as the first Vietnamese unit to export passion fruit to this market. Passion fruit has become the fifth fruit officially exported to Australia after mango, longan, lychee and pitaya.
A representative of Blue Ocean JSC revealed that in order for fresh passion fruit to enter Australia, there must be a planting area, planting area code and packaging facility code issued by the Plant Protection Agency, and there must be inspection and supervision by partners. At the same time, the production stage must ensure processes, standards, and biosafety requirements.
On the same day, Blue Ocean JSC's frozen fruit processing plant in Lam Dong Province was officially completed. Covering an area of 10,000 square meters and equipped with advanced technology, the plant can produce 10,000 tons per year. The processed products are mainly advantageous agricultural products in Lam Dong Province, the Central Highlands and the Cuu Long River Delta, such as durian, passion fruit, rambutan, mango, dragon fruit, etc. All products are processed through a rapid freezing process and packaged immediately after harvest, which helps to maintain flavor, freshness and natural nutritional value.
At the inauguration ceremony, Blue Ocean JSC signed a memorandum of cooperation on the supply strategy of frozen fruits and vegetables with Japan's Maia Company. (End)
