He said: "China is the primary export destination. In September alone, more than 16,000 tons of Argentine bone-in beef were shipped to the Chinese market, worth $24 million. In addition, (Argentina) also exported about 36,000 tons of boneless beef to China, worth $109 million." Ravettino also said that in September, 68.5% of Argentina's exported beef was sold to China. From a full-year perspective, beef exported to China accounted for 73% of Argentina's total beef exports. This shows that the Chinese market is very important. On the other hand, Daniel Urcia, a representative of the Argentine Regional Refrigeration Industry Federation (FiFra), Urcía stressed: "This (China) is a market that attracts much attention, and major companies always look forward to participating in the two annual exhibitions, one of which is the (China International Import Expo) held this week." Urcía also said: "We are committed not only to strengthening our relationship with Chinese customers, but also to promoting high-quality beef and competing with rivals who have a larger share of the Chinese market." Argentine beef exporters predict that with the sharp rise in Brazilian beef prices, the market position of Argentine beef will improve. In addition to meat products, high-quality grain feed products are also expected to usher in opportunities.
