Previously restricted mainly to animal feed and industry, the grain has found a new destiny in ethanol plants, as shown by data from the National Energy Balance. In the market for hydrated fuel, sold directly at gas stations, the participation of corn ethanol increased from 13% to 24% in the last four years.
