Production of cottage cheese in Russia in January - April 2026 increased by 10.7% compared to the same period last year - to 182 thousand tons, cheese - by 3.7%, to 285 thousand tons, according to Rosstat materials. Also during this period, the production of sour milk products (excluding sour cream) increased by 1.7%, to 740 thousand tons. Meanwhile, the output of milk, excluding raw milk, decreased by 0.6%, to 2 million tons, butter - by 5.4%, to 108 thousand tons. The production of sunflower oil increased by 9.9%, to 2.7 million tons, cereals - by 0.3%, to 613 thousand tons.
