According to the APK-Inform Agency, during most of February, the export market of Ukraine maintained an increase in purchase prices in the feed barley sector with some stabilization of the price situation at the end of the month. During the reporting period, there was a mainly high demand for this crop, therefore, to cover positions under concluded agreements, exporters were ready to give a premium for volume and quality indicators, which, together with the restraint in sales by agricultural producers and seasonally low stocks of this crop, supported prices. Thus, in the ports of Greater Odessa, demand prices for feed barley increased by 10-17 USD/t (5-8%) and as of February 27, 2025 are announced within 217-225 USD/t CPT-port. At the same time, in the Danube ports, the increase in demand prices amounted to 10-15 USD/t (5-7%), they are recorded in the range of 218-225 USD/t CPT-port. It should be noted that the stabilization was facilitated by the establishment of high and abnormal prices for barley relative to related crops.
