Ukrainians are consuming less pork due to lack of money, but the average per capita indicator has even increased.

Domestic pork and other types of meat will be sufficient for Ukrainians, despite the war.

According to data from the State Customs Service, as reported by agrotimes.ua. In monetary terms, imports for the first half of this year were at $18.3 million - 4.5 times more than during the same period of 2024. In January-June of this year, pork was imported mainly from Denmark (67.3%), Poland (14.2%), and the Netherlands (7.7%). Pork exports for the first half of 2025 increased by 33.3% compared to the same period of the previous year - to 1.6 thousand tons. In monetary terms, exports brought in $4.5 million, which is 50% more than in the first half of 2024. In January-May of this year, domestic pork was supplied mainly to the UAE (31.7%), Hong Kong (24.7%), and Bahrain (15.1%).
