The budget of the state of Kerala, India, for the fiscal year 2026–2027 has allocated a total of 142 crore rupees (approximately 17.1 million USD) to the cashew sector. Out of this, 56 crore rupees (around 6.7 million USD) have been assigned to promote the mechanization and modernization of cashew processing plants.
