Major General Ashraf El-Sharkawy held the second meeting of the Olive Specific Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Union of Producers and Exporters of Horticultural Crops, to discuss the development of Egyptian exports and work to find solutions to the challenges and obstacles facing the sector. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Azzam, Head of the Services and Follow-up Sector, Dr. Alaa Ezzouz, Head of the Agricultural Guidance Sector, Dr. Saad Moussa, Head of the Economic Affairs Sector and Supervisor of External Agricultural Relations, Dr. Hind Abdel-Latif, Director of the Central Laboratory for Pesticide Residues Analysis, Dr. Shaker Arafat, Director of the Food Technology Institute, Dr. Ahmed Helmy, Director of the Horticultural Institute, and Dr. Mohamed Ali Fahim, Head of the Agricultural Climate Change Center. The meeting was also attended by Ayman Hamouda, former Director of the Horticultural Institute, with the participation of major producers, manufacturers, traders and exporters of olive crops, a representative of the Future of Egypt Agency, some leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture, and leaders of the Horticultural Crops Development and Development Association. During the meeting, El-Sharkawy explained the objectives and tasks of the Olive Specific Council, which are linking and coordinating between stakeholders to achieve the tasks for which it was established with the aim of finding a mechanism of cooperation
