Brazilian orange juice exports advance to the USA in the 2025/26 crop, but decrease to the European Union, the main destination until then, impacting producer prices due to the recomposition of inventories in Brazil.

The orange juice market started the 2025/26 season under pressure, with falling prices on the New York exchange due to weakening international demand and the slower pace of exports. According to an analysis by Itaú BBA, the contraction in shipments to the United States and the European Union reduced the need for the industry to purchase oranges, reflecting a more cautious scenario in the short term.

The export sector of citrus products has gained an important tariff relief in recent days. For orange juice, the United States government removed, at the end of the first half of November, the additional 10% tariff that had been applied broadly to imports in April of this year and that was still affecting the product.
