Hossam Mahfouz continued that Egypt's orange exports represent 80% of citrus fruits, and the rest are for mandarins and tangerines, and we have citrus crops equivalent to a third of Egypt's cultivated area, stressing that the Egyptian orange is unmatched in the world, and our product conforms to international standard specifications, which helped open new markets in major countries of the world. For his part, Eng. Mohamed Rabie, the Agricultural Quarantine Officer, explained that Egypt ranked first globally in citrus exports in 2019, with a volume of 1.4 million tons. Egyptian citrus fruits enjoy a very good reputation, as they have a natural color, due to the climate.

Engineer Mohamed Rabie, the head of the agricultural quarantine, revealed the conditions necessary for exporting oranges to Western countries, stressing that oranges are carefully examined to ensure that they are free of any defects or health problems before being exported.
