(Agraria.pe) Peruvian mango exports continue to be “in the red.” As of October 2024, shipments of this fruit totaled US$ 201 million, a drop of 4.7%, according to data from the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).

The Regional Management of Agrarian Development of Puno delivered pineapple seedlings and supplies to 278 fruit producers from five districts in the provinces of Sandia and Carabaya. These will be installed on 53 hectares, benefiting more than 270 families in the area. The delivery was led by the regional manager of Agrarian Development, Renato Talavera Salas, who was accompanied by the heads of the Frutales project, Ilde Ele Quispe Mamani and Santos Donato Ramos Copa. The technicians of the Frutales project will also provide technical assistance to the producers during the installation of the crops in the districts of Alto Inambari (14.48 hectares with 90 beneficiaries), San Juan del Oro and Yanahuaya (16.5 hectares with 63 beneficiaries), San Pedro de Putina Punco (13.01 hectares with 78 beneficiaries) and Ayapata (9.2 hectares with 47 beneficiaries).
