Oil Tourism Spain is born with more than 100 experiences in areas linked to olive groves
The Oleoturismo España project, driven by the Spanish Olive Municipalities Association (Aemo) and nine provincial councils, launches this Wednesday with the release of a website where tourists can book more than 100 experiences linked to olive groves and olive oil. These experiences are offered by companies distributed across Badajoz, Cáceres, Seville, Huelva, Córdoba, Jaén, Ciudad Real, Tarragona, and Granada, where tourists can become olive farmers for a day, visit olive mills, taste oils, enjoy cultural visits, receive oleotherapy treatments, explore green routes, or even sleep in an old oil mill. The project, financed with nearly 1.5 million euros from the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), was presented this Wednesday in Madrid at an event attended by the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu.
