27 Tons! First Batch of Yunnan Grapes Exported to Vietnam Passes Inspection, Detection Cycle Significantly Shortened
On June 23, a batch of fresh grapes weighing 27 tons was exported to Vietnam after passing on-site inspection and quarantine at the Mengzi Customs, a branch of the Kunming Customs. This marks Yunnan's first export of fresh fruits using the "batch inspection (quarantine)" model.
According to the introduction, this supervisory model defines a "batch inspection unit" as products from the same production and processing enterprise using the same batch of raw and auxiliary materials, with consistent production processes, quality control systems, inspection standards, or quarantine requirements, and exported to the same country (region) or a specific quantity of products.
For the same "batch inspection unit" that has passed customs inspection (quarantine), customs will verify by auditing relevant documents without conducting on-site checks, enabling enterprises to report, inspect, and release goods immediately, effectively solving issues such as cargo turnover and scheduling, and significantly reducing on-site inspection frequency.
Li Hongyan, the person in charge of Mengzi Xiangyue Import and Export Company, which exported the grapes, said, "After implementing the new model, the export inspection cycle has been greatly shortened, with an initial estimate of reducing inspection time by 2-3 days per batch of fruits."
Kunming Customs statistical data shows that in the first five months of this year, Yunnan's agricultural product exports reached 7.49 billion yuan, a growth of 20.9%, ranking first in scale among central and western regions. Moving forward, Kunming Customs will continue to promote the export agricultural and food product "batch inspection (quarantine)" reform pilot work, supporting the high-quality development of Yunnan's plateau characteristic agriculture.
