Vegetable and fruit prices varied on Tuesday 10-15-2024, with tomatoes ranging from 20 to 35 pounds, yellow and red onions from 20 to 28, potatoes from 20 to 30 pounds, cucumbers and zucchini from 20 pounds, bell peppers from 20 pounds, colored peppers, carrots and figs from 30 to 40 pounds per kilo, according to a number of traders in the markets.
Vegetable prices in the Obour market
Traders confirmed that the tomato crate in the Obour market ranged between 300 and 450 pounds, peppers from 10 pounds, lemons from 10 pounds, zucchini from 12 pounds, cucumbers from 12 pounds, and eggplant from 7 pounds.
Traders indicated that the price of lettuce is 15 pounds per unit for the consumer and a half, broccoli is 20 pounds, red and white cabbage is 20 pounds, molokhia is 15 pounds per kilo, grape leaves are 65 pounds, and okra is 70 to 80 pounds.
