The new pear variety "Seolwon" blooms about a week later than the existing variety "Singo" in spring, making it more resistant to low-temperature damage. The peel is blue, and the sugar content reaches 14 Brix. Even after peeling, the browning speed is slow, maintaining a good texture for a long time. An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "If the new variety 'Seolwon' is successfully established, it is expected to reduce the recurring low-temperature damage in spring and respond to the consumer trend favoring fruits with strong sweetness like Shinmuscat."
