Kazakhstan greenhouse bananas are having a bumper harvest; tomato and cucumber yields continue to grow.
Data shows that the total national strawberry yield reached 208 tons, with a planting area of approximately 87,000 square meters. Among these, Almaty region leads with a yield of 158 tons, while Turkestan region contributes 50 tons.
From April to June 2025, the nation harvested a total of 50,400 tons of tomatoes. Turkestan region's greenhouses remain the primary production area, with a yield of 36,800 tons. Following are Aktobe region with 5,700 tons, Pavlodar region with 1,900 tons, Almaty region with 1,800 tons, Almaty city with 1,400 tons, and Shymkent city with 1,050 tons. The total greenhouse planting area for tomatoes in the nation reached 4.5 million square meters.
During the same period, the national cucumber yield was 33,100 tons, with Turkestan region leading with a yield of 20,900 tons. West Kazakhstan region and Almaty region followed with 2,630 tons and 2,620 tons, respectively, while Pavlodar region produced 2,200 tons and Shymkent city produced 1,800 tons. The total greenhouse planting area for cucumbers in the nation was 3.6 million square meters.
In addition to the above agricultural products, the nation also harvested a total of 368 tons of peppers and sweet peppers, with a planting area of 72,300 square meters. Among these, Turkestan region produced 224 tons and Almaty region produced 118 tons. During the same period, Kazakhstan's mushroom production reached 114 tons, all from greenhouses in Almaty region.
